Facing myself

In the Martial Arts I have read many times, that ones greatest enemy is self. Spiritually, this is the case also. The tongue can not be held, the will can not be bent, training scars often never fade. When we realize that we are incapable of forcing ourselves to be what God intended, then we have taken the first step towards a winning submission. Freeing yourself from your Will and continually pointing and readjusting your life to point at the Goal – step by step – you will suddenly find yourself at the feet of God. Humbled, you will find confidence. Boldness even.

Facing my own weaknesses: Ancient Prayer of breath: Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me; a sinner. (The Jesus Prayer)
